We were taught from a young age that to preserve the future of our world, we must do what we can to help it, and one way the human race could help was by recycling. Unfortunately, trash has only increased and cares about recycling have taken the back foot. However, to remedy this, Allegan County in Michigan is doing what they can by introducing a proposal to increase recycling by offering a request for a contractor to provide curbside recycling services to those in any eligible household. They are looking for a contractor who can collect once per month, on the same day of the week each month as mutually agreed upon once discussed.
The collected materials are to be picked up in a single stream where residents can place all approved recycling material, including newsprint, paper, cardboard, and plastic, together to facilitate pickup. Payment shall be per month per approved household unit ad is reviewed further in the proposal. The deadline for questions to be submitted to the County is 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The due date for proposals is 3:00 PM on July 30, 2024.
