The evolution of technology is nothing short of amazing. Advances in robotics, phones, and artificial intelligence has transformed our day to day lives, making what seemed so difficult only a decade ago so easy to accomplish today. This transition can be most easily seen in schools. Gone are the days of the pen and paper; now every student has access to a laptop, with set days in the school year to learn from home and even the curriculum has changed to help students adapt to using technology for more than just games.
This change in tools has also forced schools to ensure that their computers and laptops are up to date. Because of this, new jobs and services are requested from many school districts to ensure that all technology is working and up to date. An example of these requests come from Garland Independent School District in Texas, who are receiving proposals for the purchase of CTE equipment, parts, service, and repair, all to make sure that kids are competitive and receiving the best education that they can get.
A school is a place for learning, and despite the education of teachers and faculty, many did not go to school to handle electronics and similar equipment. Specialized equipment such as CTE parts are particularly tricky, and by outsourcing and hiring contractors to maintain these utilities teachers can specialize in what they do best and leave the rest to specialized professionals.
